Small Update

I didn't get as much completed yesterday as much as I wanted to get done. I finished all of the rug on this page, so no more rug. Although at this point it really doesn't look like a rug, just a huge area of white with spots. I also managed to get 1 line of tub done. I got distracted, had I not then a section of tub would have gotten done too. I should get a section of the tub done today if not most of the area. I am giving myself 3 days to complete a 562 page book. If its a good one then it won't be so bad but given that this is the book that I've heard bad things about it might take me 3 days. Once I complete my last 4 books after this one, it will be WAY more cross-stitching especially after next week to once homeschooling is done with my son! Yay, for summer!

More Rug

So I got all the white & cream done on the rug. You are really starting to be able to tell that it's a rug there. I plan on trying to get the last color of the rug done today plus working on more of the tub. I agree with a comment that I should finish the lip of the tub, then the tub on this side would be completed. Then after that is done, I'm going to work on getting the rest of the middle part done. I have 11 days left until my first month hits. I would have a TON more done on this but I have been absorbed in this current book challenge. I want to get my 14 books read as fast as I can so that I can work on Bubbles more. After this week I will be down to having 4 more books to finish. I'm already a certain percentage done with Wuthering Heights, but I know that I will have to buckle down and get that finished next week. That being said I have to finish 2 books before Sunday(one being 562 pages long). Anyways! Have a great day!

Rug

I worked on the foot of the tub, plus a section of white on the rug. I think it's coming along nicely even though I haven't been pulling in long days with this. I have roughly a couple more rows of white to finish before I start working on the last 2 colors of the rug. From there I still haven't decided what section to do next.

So yesterday I didn't get much time to get any stitching in. Just too busy of a day. I finally finished the Hunger Games trilogy so that means I will have more time to stitch instead of wanting to stick my nose in a book. I got some of the carpet done on the side of the bear, and I started working on the foot of the tub. There's 2 shades of gray there although it doesn't look like it. I plan on stitching 2 more hours tonight so I have an update tomorrow that is hopefully all tub foot done plus more!

More Tub

I didn't work on this yesterday at all. So this is my update from the past 2 hours so that I have something to update. I got a little part of the tub done right next to the bears head. I'm gonna start picking this back up more after I finish book 3 in the Hunger Games trilogy. They are so good that I can't put them down. I should have more to post tomorrow with this. So my update is a little late today. I didn't get any stitching done yesterday, so I stitched for 2 hours today and am now updating. This is where I wanted to be on Bubbles last night, but my reading took over. As you can see I got some of the carpet done, and finished up his leg. I love the way the bear looks against the tub, just so detailed! I will probably be a little behind with tomorrow's update to cause tonight is Bunko night! But I will have an update tomorrow though :)

I didn't get much work done on this bear yesterday. I put in 2 hours, unlike most days I have been putting in about 4 to 6 hours a day. I'm in the middle of a big book(to me it really isn't) but when you add wanting to stitch and finish a library book before Sunday. It's a big book at 658 pages. Back to the project though, I got the little bit of carpet done in that section. I have to get more carpet done on the other side of the leg before I start on the last little bit of the bear. Then I will finish the rest of the tub after that. But as you can tell, even 2 hours worth of work is good progress!

Filling in more

I got a lot done yesterday on this. Now you can see a leg! I also filled in all of the tub down to his leg. I am going to fill in the bottom part underneath him so that I can finish him today. So then I can start finishing up the tub on this page. I'm already 10 days into this project and I'm already this far. Roughly 2 more weeks until June. i wonder how far I will be then.

Yesterday was a lazy, rainy day. I got roughly 6 hours of stitching time in. As you can tell I got a lot done in 6 hours. All I have left to do is the bears legs then I'll be finished with him. I have to some of the carpet underneath him with the white and cream before I can finish his legs. I was taught to do lighter colors first then darker colors. I'm loving the way this bear looks, I can only guess what its gonna look like the more work I get done.

I was so busy yesterday that I didn't get to do any work or update. This is my work that I did on Friday. I plan on spending my Mother's Day watching stuff and stitching. Sounds like a good day to me. My family has already spoiled me so much today, but the sun isn't shining so I can't put my new plants into the ground. For those mothers out there that read my blog. Tub Time

I got my wish yesterday of getting a good block of color done. I finished up the blue color of the bubble yesterday too so that it would stand out. I love how this is looking. Today, I'm going to get the white part of the soap done so that I can get the darker gray done. Then I'm gonna move up and over to get more of the tub done. Before I know it the tub on this page is gonna be done. There isn't a lot of colors to it so it will go fast.

The update today has more progress done than the day before. I worked 4 colors in the 2 hours I was working on it. You can't really tell both in the picture and in person but there are 2 very similar grays in the darker spot. The white part is another bubble. I plan on working the colors of the bubble today to make it stick out more. Then hopefully more tub. The process that I want to do in the first month is huge. I'd like to get most of this page done in 1 month. Granted I'm working on 2 separate book challenges for the year to so we will see how much I get done this month.

Now that Honey Bear is finally done, this is the only one that will be getting updated. Some days I will have more colors or sections done than others. I'm trying to get to colors where there is a lot of stitches for it. So far I'm not getting to where I want to be yet so it doesn't look like much is done yet. I'm at the tub right around where an arm of a bear is but I want to work more on the tub itself. Hopefully today when I put in 2hours or more I will get the results that I'm looking for!

I just finished! I didn't want to post an earlier picture cause I didn't have much left to finish. So here after longer than it should have taken is the completed picture! I love the way it looks in person. I can't wait to frame this and put it in our guest bedroom! So I will now start working on Bubbles more.

Bubbles!

I have officially started on Bubbles! I'm not done working the back-stitch on the Honey Bear but I finally got the thread I need so this week I will finish it. Back to Bubbles though. It is an 18x14, and 4 pages of work. So far I'm working on the middle of the page and working my way down. I'm excited about working on a new project. The other one took way too long, but then again I didn't work on it since Oct!

Honey Jars done

I finished most of the jars except for the lettering on the one big jar. It took a little over 2 hours to complete all this. I emailed the company to get more thread for some of the back-stitch that I need, I still don't have the thread I need to finish. In the process, I started winding the thread for my new project. Then today, I started my new project. I will post pictures tomorrow.

Completed Watering Can

The watering can is FINALLY completed! I haven't cross-stitched in MONTHS! Today felt so good to sit down and cross-stitch. I forgot how much I actually love doing it. I hope that I get more done tonight with more pictures posted early tomorrow!

Back stitching left

I know I haven't posted in a little while. I'm sorry. I have been slowly working on this. I just finished today! All I have back-stitching left to do. Things have been crazy hectic since we moved in here. I have had my husband make 3 rooms of furniture. I painted and stained all of it so that was 1 reason I haven't posted. And 2 I just had a visit from my parents. But I will post with the back-stitch process and then starting on another project!

Watering can flowers

I have started working on the flowers above the watering can. In doing that I have hit the stitches that mark the last stitches on the upper part. Pretty soon this is just going to start filling in. After all the flowers, my next thing is the watering can. I thought the watering can would be a big part of this side and take forever, but I honestly don't thing that it will. I think this side is going to go fast. So I hope to be done with this side before I hit 3 months. That gives me a week to finish before I start back stitching! Here goes nothing!

Honey Bottle

I haven't updated my blog in a couple of days, but I have been working on this. As you can see I have finished the right side, and now working my way to the left. I am completing the last honey jar and the wagon handle before I work on all the half stitches that cover the top. By the end of this week, I am hoping to be done with the project to the 1/2 way point. I know myself I will probably get the honey jar done, and start working on the half stitches as far as I go. So I maybe 1/2 way tonight!

Straw

I am almost done on the right side. I can't believe how cute this is looking. I am going to get this right side done today! I think the more I get done the more impressive it is going to look. I can't wait to see how much more stitching is going to make the bear look!

I have finally gotten to the top of the project. I spent a couple hours on this yesterday after homeschooling. I'm going to work on this more today. I'm really excited to be at the top!

Month 2

Today marks month two since I started this project. I'm the last couple of weeks I haven't gotten much done. But moving does that. I got more of the door finished! It was fairly easy due to there only being 3 colors, and all half stitches. Today I want to finish the door all the way to the top. Then I'm going to finish the side bar or hay or whatever it is. Hopefully in a day or two, I'm finished with this side and can start moving my way over. I hope that I'm closer to being done with the bear by month 3 mark. I think backstitching is gonna take a lot of work.
